Chrome fails to download large files

The file which we are trying to download is around 7 mb. It gives us "Failed: Network Error". Though it works fine on Firefox. Not sure why it is giving error for bigger size on Chrome. This is an almost duplicate of these questions 1 and 2 , but since they do deal particularly with the canvas element, I'll rewrite a more global solution here.

I have asked this in relation to downloading a regular file. Madmenyo natalieb's response is a workaround. It works. It lets you download a file that Chrome is otherwise failing to let you download. Dave B. Similar issue downloading a loan statement from Chase.

Right-click and you get the HTML file only. In Firefox, a left-click downloads the PDF. Perhaps adding punctuation and checking spelling would help.
